Paula is from from Tallaght, a large suburb of Dublin, quite close to the Dublin mountains. She started in the hospitality industry when she left college and worked up to management. Following that she temped for ISS, a facilities management company, who then offered her a permanent position as an assistant Helpdesk Manager. Other promotions followed and she became a maintenance co-ordinator for the contract with Hewlett-Packard with responsibility for all of Europe. More recently she worked for Pipers Newsagents in their customer services department.

She moved here in 2013, and immediately felt very comfortable living here. She met my husband Jim here in 2017 and they were married in May 2019. She loves to crochet in her spare time.

On joining the Pavilion, it was her hope to restart a Film Club and see a new audience discover the Pavilion. Her favourite film is Jaws and she's known for being a Sci-Fi geek, (Star Wars, obviously, although she did enjoy A Star is Born too.) Her choice of ice-cream is a Vanilla tub every time, and if you're buying her a drink, it'll be a Guinness - but only if the pub will serve it properly.
